More Facts About Emmanuel And Income Scene

In The Beginning- Before I Started Making Money Online

I lived a normal life as a student (I am still one). I already had the picture of leading an independent life as at age 16. I had just left High School the. Myself and a friend were always reading self improvement and finance books – The Richest Man In Babylon, Think And Grow Rich (I have never completed this one), Rich Dad Poor Dad and about FIVE other books written by Robert Kiyosaki, Multiple Streams Of Income, The Entrepreneurs Book Of Checklists (By Robert Ashton), Richard Branson’s Losing My Virginity (I also paid for Business Stripped Bare but the book wasn’t delivered), From Acorns…, Yaro Starak’s Blog Profits Blueprint, Brian Tracy’s Psychology Of Selling (a few pages)….I read books back then.

I was also full of plans for the future. All I wanted was to work under NOBODY. I think that’s paying off now.

Everything was Business As Usual Until This Happened

As I have in my enhanced About Page, I started out blogging with free WordPress and Blogger blogs. I was trying to understand what being a blogger really meant. I kept doing this and hoped to make some money. I was wrong, not one dime was made.

Since I believed I had done what needed to be done to make money and the results didn’t seem to appear, I kind of called it quits. I had read a lot about blogging and back then, I knew quite a lot but I called it quits.

But sometime around early 2009, I idly googled “Make Money Online” – I wanted to find out what I had missed during my absence. It was here that I came across Michael Dunlop’s Income Diary. What got me hooked was the amount of great content on the site, and the awesome design.

This was when I began to re-learn and update my knowledge about blogging. I started visiting other sites and I got my own domain.

I Didn’t Stay On The Spot… I Kept Right On Going

At this point I just got the domain and left it like that – no hosting, nothing. I kept at this for 8 months until November 2010 when I decided it was finally time to launch my first real blog. I wrote some things and threw them up on the site. I set up two Twitter accounts, one for this blog(IncomeScene) and the other for myself(EmmanuelOlonade). I also set up a Facebook page. I also went about placing comments on other blogs, joining communities and forums. All these have started paying off really well.

What Have I Accomplished So Far?

I wouldn’t say I am too impressed with my performance at the moment because I have very high standards but I am very pleased with the overall progress. Every day is getting better than the previous and I am getting closer to achieving my goals… Overall God has been very good to me. Some of the few accomplishments include Having thousands of visits to my blog and Having over 500 followers on my Twitter account within a few months.

But I Am Not Done Yet, I Have Some Other Things I am Working On

I am definitely not through yet. I have some things to accomplish. For my 2011 goals, check out this post. An example of something you will find there is:

Networking Goals >>

I must….
• Attend as many (useful) seminars as possible, Always jot and/or record and, meet new people there.
• Get into conversation with a total stranger at least fortnightly. I must hone my conversational skills.
• Get at least 2,500 followers to each of my Twitter profiles, EmmanuelOlonade and IncomeScene before I clock 20 (in July). At least you guys now have some thing to do for me… ? My IncomeScene Page has likewise not been moving as I would have loved.
• Become a lot more active in the forums I visit.

If I Am To Start All Over Again, I will Do These Three Things FIRST

1. Start building my list right away (if possible from day one)
2. Plan My blogging schedule – when to post, when to network and market, and when to shut down the computer!
3. Get a great design for my blog (again using WooThemes, they are the best!)
