The 2011 Challenge – My Goals For the Year Ahead

This is the period…when everyone brings out a piece of paper and makes a list of expectations they have and goals they will like to accomplish in 365 days. These goals could be spiritual, physical, academic, social or/and financial. Here with this post I want to list mine and I will be short with this. It is just a way of making me accountable to myself and You, my readers. If I don’t put it up here, I could be tempted to give up or “rest” a little bit. I know you guys will not allow that… Here’s to a successful 2011 for us all

Physical Goals
I must…
• Do something about the acne/pimples on my face. I have always ignored this but now I CARE.
• Become more “corporate” in my dressing. I will have a few functions to attend this year.
• Eat less than I did last year. There was a time last year when more than half of my daily expenses was spent on buying something to keep my mouth busy. They were not necessarily the real meals but the in-betweens
• Stay as fit and athletic as I have always been. Rigorous exercises are putting a strain on me.

Academic Goals
I must…
• Attend as many classes as I possibly can. Ther is no denying the fact that I will “stab” classes this year.
• Review my lecture notes daily, if only for a little above an hour. I got a little consistent last year and I want to keep that up.
• Review weekly notes during weekends.

Networking Goals
I must….
• Attend as many (useful) seminars as possible, Always jot and/or record and, meet new people there.
• Get into conversation with a total stranger at least fortnightly. I must hone my conversational skills.
• Get at least 2,500 followers to each of my Twitter profiles, EmmanuelOlonade and IncomeScene before I clock 20 (in July). At least you guys now have some thing to do for me… ? My IncomeScene Page has likewise not been moving as I would have loved.
• Become a lot more active in the forums I visit.

Personal Goals
I must…
• Read a book (or an eBook) every month. I need to stay informed.
• Keep my diary (diaries actually) more updated than I did in 2010. I did most of my scribbling practically anywhere last year.
• Put some money aside for saving. You probably don’t need the details. Lol.
• Limit my weekly spending to… (Don’t mind me)

My Financial Goals
I must…
• Have at least two write ups every week. I didn’t say I will publish twice a week but that’s a real possibility.
• Start building my list with Aweber latest by February. I know it’s kind of late but I have my reasons.
• Complete my free eBook by March.
• Have started making $5000 monthly by year end. This is going to be real work given the fact that I am basically starting from scratch.

With what I have laid out here, you will easily see that I have a filled year ahead. I decided not to add my spiritual goals to the list; it is between God and I. Also if you have not known already, I am currently a 300 Level student of Computer science with Economics at Obafemi Awolowo University. I wish us all a great year ahead.
